Private Instruction & Coaching
Individual sessions offer time to focus on what matters to you - whether that is developing self-defense skills, exploring something showing up in your life, or combining conversation and physical training after an assault.
Private instruction, Self-Discovery Coaching, and Assault Recovery Training each offer a different approach. We’ll start with a conversation about your interests and goals to find the right fit.

Private Instruction
One-on-one self-defense and martial arts training is tailored to your goals, interests, and circumstances. You might want to prepare for a particular situation, develop practical skills, explore a martial art, or adapt training to your mobility needs.
Training can include Jeet Kune Do, Escrima/Kali, ground defense, verbal self-defense, and specialized skills. We’ll choose the focus together.
Adults of all genders and teens are welcome. No previous martial arts experience is required.
One-hour sessions:
• $75 at the Maverick in Burien.
• $125–$150 at your location, depending on travel and the focus of training.
Training at the Maverick takes place in the yoga room, with access arranged in advance.
Self-Discovery Coaching
Sometimes something is showing up in your life and you need time to talk it through. Coaching offers space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and familiar patterns, consider different perspectives, and experiment with changes in how you respond.
Sessions center on conversation and exploration. Activities or movement can also be included when they support your goals.
This is focused, personal work, usually over one to four sessions. People of all genders are welcome.
One-hour sessions:
• $50 on Zoom.
• $100 in person.
Pay one session at a time through Venmo, Cash App, or cash.
I am not a licensed therapist. Self-Discovery Coaching is personal coaching and does not replace mental-health treatment.

Assault Recovery Training
Assault Recovery Training (ART) combines personal coaching with physical self-defense training for people who want to work through the experience of an assault and explore their strengths, boundaries, and choices.
Alongside conversation and reflection, we practice self-defense skills relevant to what you experienced. Your goals guide the work, and we agree on the pace together.
I developed this approach with oversight from experienced clinical social workers. People of all genders are welcome.
One-hour sessions: $150 each.
Most clients participate in four to six sessions; some choose additional sessions. Prepayment for a series is preferred, with a full refund for any unused sessions. Paying one session at a time is also an option.
I am not a licensed therapist. ART combines coaching and self-defense instruction; it is not psychotherapy or a substitute for mental-health treatment.
